Why is Michigan’s polar science Museum opening in the middle of the night?

The Michigan State University Polar Science Museum is expected to open in the late afternoon on Thursday night in Lansing, and it is expected that the polar science program will be available for free on the museum’s website.
The museum will be open to the public for free from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with exhibits and guided tours available for the duration of the museum.
