The Simpsons has revealed its Season 14 premiere date and details its new free-content update.
In the video, the show’s writers and producers explain that Season 14 will be a free, subscription-based service, which means it will have its own website, social media presence and its own in-game characters.
“We’re really excited about this new season, and the fact that we’re giving you a little taste of what’s coming your way, in a way that’s much better than we’re doing right now,” said Matt Groening in a video shared by the show.
“The Simpsons Season 14 is a full-on binge, we’re going to be giving you the full Simpsons experience, so you’ll be able to do whatever you want and see what happens to the Simpsons.”
“It’s going to feel like you’re in Springfield,” said co-creator and showrunner Matt Groen.
“It feels like a full Simpsons adventure.”
Season 14 will debut in the US on August 8, with it also coming to Canada, Australia and New Zealand later this month.
It will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
